Job Overview
Palm Health Resources is hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners who specialize in Inpatient Specialty.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and support to multidisciplinary health teams within the scope of practice of an NP.
- Serve as a clinical area expert for patient care, education, collaboration, and consultation activities.
- Assume responsibility for professional development and program maintenance.
- Contribute to the department budget through cost‑effective use of time and supplies.
- Demonstrate commitment to system values through customer focus and continuous process improvement.
- Maintain compliance with the Code of Conduct and report suspected violations.
- Assess patient health status by obtaining history, performing a physical exam, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Make accurate diagnoses using critical thinking, synthesizing data, and formulating differential diagnoses.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, selecting appropriate pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic interventions, and providing patient education.
- Evaluate patient status on follow‑up and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Document all patient care in accordance with hospital and clinic policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and assurance activities and in provider and support‑staff meetings.
- Use hospital and clinic resources efficiently to meet budget goals.
- Meet OPPE and FPPE criteria per Medical Staff Bylaws and abide by NP standardized procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited nursing school. - Licensure/Certification:
Active and unrestricted CA licensure as RN and NP;
Nurse Practitioner Furnishing (NPF) license number; current board certification or board eligible (ACGNP, FNP); DEA certificate to dispense controlled substances (II–V);
National Provider Identifier (NPI); current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); CURES registration under the California Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). - Experience:
Experience as a nurse practitioner providing care in an acute or ambulatory setting in General Surgery or Palliative Care.
