* For 10 hour and 12 hour shifts this is the average hourly rate which includes overtime when a non‑exempt employee works over 8 hours.

Experience and RequirementsRequired:
HVAC Certification if hired after January 2024.
Required:
Three (3) years of experience in HVAC field in healthcare or industrial setting.
Assists in delivering quality, cost effective healthcare by performing routine repairs and maintenance to critical equipment and facilities. Maintains the facility within JCAHO, OSHA, Department of Health and all regulatory requirements. Works in a variety of shifts to provide maintenance support to the hospital and clinic buildings on and off campus.
Responsibilities- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Checks all assigned equipment on a daily basis to provide a comfortable facility environment.
- Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all HVAC equipment with minimal assistance and without callbacks.
- Completes requested equipment repairs within same day of issuance or one day of estimated completion date; immediately communicates status of completed work or estimated completion time to the end user; if end user is unavailable a written message will be left stating status.
- Maintains accurate HVAC parts equipment inventories to complete required preventive maintenance and repairs in a timely manner with minimal downtime.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Communicates with supervisor and end user when undue delays/ conflicts occur in performing repair work.
- Assumes responsibility of any assigned work request to ensure satisfactory completion; contacts supervisor if any outside assistance is needed and helps coordinate this work with the outside vendor.
- Monitors the operation of chillers, boilers, pumps and air handlers; communicates problems with vendor and supervisor.
- Participates in weekly HVAC huddle with supervisor.
- Takes call for after hours and weekend support.
- Completes and submits all logs and work request documentation daily.
- Trains new staff members on repair and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Understanding of HVAC systems and related equipment with the ability to troubleshoot the same.
- Ability to read schematics and specifications.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information.
- Ability to repair and document with promptness, precision, and integrity.
