Under the general direction of the Director of Environmental Services, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance procedures on buildings, grounds and equipment to provide a safe, aesthetic environment for residents and employees.
What You’ll Do- Respond to and perform maintenance service requests as assigned by the supervisor; carry out repairs and installation of equipment, moving and assembly of furniture, setting up equipment for meetings, etc.
- Carry out unit remodeling activities which include light construction and carpentry work to install cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, carpeting, painting and related work.
- Maintain facilities general appearance by performing plaster patchwork, painting, clearing corridors, changing light fixtures, etc.
- Perform light electrical work including installation of electrical conduit, wiring, switches, and other equipment up to 110 volts.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Inspect and perform light repairs on equipment including boiler system, heating/ventilation systems and plumbing to ensure all systems are in proper working condition and properly maintained.
- High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of previous experience in a maintenance position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification in plumbing, electronics, HVAC, or similar discipline preferred.
