The Clean Room Maintenance Technician at Applied Medical plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and compliance of clean room environments used in medical device manufacturing. This position ensures that equipment and facilities meet stringent regulatory standards, supporting the production of safe and effective products for healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and sanitizing clean room surfaces, equipment, and utilities according to established protocols.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery, equipment, or systems, identifying root causes of malfunctions or breakdowns.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules to ensure timely servicing of machinery and reduce unexpected downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in logs or digital systems for compliance and analysis.
- Inspect clean room facilities regularly to identify and address cleanliness or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve technical issues and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain clean room environments that meet regulatory and company standards for cleanliness and compliance.
- Ensure equipment reliability through timely preventive maintenance and accurate troubleshooting.
- Reduce downtime by proactively addressing potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repairs and share technical insights.
- Contribute to Applied Medical’s mission by supporting safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes.
This position requires the following skills and attributes
- Have two to five years of maintenance experience, including troubleshooting machinery.
- Demonstrate knowledge in one or more technical fields: electronics, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems.
- Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Showcase a detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance.
- Able to understand and read electrical schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting machinery using volt or amp meters and other standard hand tools.
- Familiarity with packaging machinery such as heat sealers and form‑fill packaging machines.
- Minimum one year of experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Competitive compensation range: $26 - $34 / hour (California).
