Summary
Under limited supervision, The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner facilitates, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates adult learning principles while promoting clinical excellence, and supporting professional development of frontline staff. This role blends at-the-elbow education, orientation oversight, and interdisciplinary collaboration while adhering to the ANA Nursing professional Development Scope and Standards. The NPD Practitioner functions as a learning facilitator, mentor, advisor, and partner in advancing quality improvement ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Required:
3-5 years Experience.
Previous education/teaching experience preferred.
EducationRequired:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Preferred:
Master of Science in Nursing Education.
Required:
Registered Nurse License
- Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license.
Basic Life Support.
Preferred: APRN-Clinical Nurse Specialist License
- Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
National Certification Required within 1 year of hire (Nursing Specialty, Nursing Professional Development).
