SUMMARY:
The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac, stroke and behavioral health. Additionally, staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. Our rapid care area is designated for minor illnesses. Staff members are outgoing and positive and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.
Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as advisor and resource for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team.
Requirements- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred from CCNE accredited schools
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
