Position Title: Staff Registered Nurse Night Supervisor FT 11pm-7:30am
Summary: Peak Healthcare at Patapsco is recruiting for a registered nurse to fill a management/leadership role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing with delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction during a designated shift.
Current sign‑on bonus of $8,000.00 for full‑time applicants. Must be COVID‑vaccinated or have an approved exemption.
Duties- Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess their needs to provide quality care.
- Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures.
- Maintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC utilization according to best practices.
- Supervise, manage, and assist in training LPNs and GNAs.
- Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facility.
- Collaborate with the DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverage.
- Effectively utilize existing manpower to limit overtime/agency support.
- Assess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to patients/residents.
- Maintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team‑oriented, and responsive to the needs of staff, patients, and their families.
- Monitor nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.
- Encourage shift‑to‑shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.
- Review prospective admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensure readiness to treat.
- Ensure that patients’ attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.
- Investigate patient/family complaints and take appropriate actions to bring to resolution.
- Current/Active state RN licensure.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- In‑depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines.
- Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Experience supervising GNAs and LPNs in a nursing home setting.
Organized, interested in management positions, and committed to maintaining high standards.
