Overview
The team lead will support breast, GYN, urology, plastics, and endo service lines as a member of the patient care team. The Team Leader demonstrates proficiency in clinically sound, evidence‑based practice and is recognized as a resource, preceptor, and role model. The Team Leader must meet all the requirements of RN II, coordinate the activities of the assigned surgical specialty service, monitor and address the needs of individual surgeons according to surgical procedures, oversee the daily surgical schedule to assess instrumentation needs, and manage equipment and supply inventory.
The Team Leader exhibits mastery of nursing functions needed to advise, mentor, and evaluate other patient‑care team members.
- Required:
1‑3 years of experience - Required:
Nursing Degree
- Registered Nurse License – Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA/CPAN)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
CAPA/CPAN required for Preop/PACU or obtain within 12 months; CNOR required (obtain within 12 months of hire) or PALS preferred for OR and Preop/PACU.
