Emergency Department Registered Nurse

The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses typically related to cardiac, stroke, and behavioral health. Additionally, staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. Our rapid care area is designated for minor illnesses. Staff members are outgoing and positive and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.

As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

Requirements:

• Basic professional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field.
• RN Diploma with relevant experience also accepted.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Maryland Registered Nurse License.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
