Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health to provide compassionate, high-acuity psychiatric care to adults and patients in crisis across inpatient and emergency settings. This role involves delivering evidence-based nursing interventions, performing mental status and safety assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The nurse will float and cross-train across various psychiatric units and emergency pods, supporting a dynamic, team-based environment focused on patient safety and recovery.
Responsibilities Include- Providing age-appropriate psychiatric nursing care
- Monitoring patient responses and safety
- Supporting interdisciplinary collaboration
- Advocating for patients and families
- Participating in cross-training activities to expand skills
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma with relevant experience
- Active RN license in the state
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
- Emergency or crisis stabilization experience
- Acute or critical care nursing background
