Role Overview

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, acting as a resource for patients and families. The department handles over 60,000 annual visits, treating major and minor illnesses, including cardiac, stroke, behavioral health, orthopedic injuries, and trauma, with a dedicated rapid care area for minor cases.

• Assess patient status and implement effective clinical nursing interventions.
• Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Basic professional knowledge, equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or RN Diploma with relevant experience.
• Maryland Registered Nurse License.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
