JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and manages the operational aspects of one of Life Bridge Health Security Department facilities. Manages the daily operations of all areas within the department to ensure the safety and security of all of the facilities patients, visitors, guests, employees, and vendors. Provides for the protection of the company assets, grounds, and environments.
- Manage all security personnel and coordinate daily administrative responsibilities related to one of Life Bridge Health's campuses. Review and approve all reports submitted by members of the security department. Approve leave and check attendance for all security staff. Respond to and take charge of any major incident that occurs on the campus of the facility. Manage enforcement of laws, statutes, and hospital policies.
- Direct day-to-day operations of the Security Department for the assigned facility, including daily deployment of staff based on operational needs. Provide direction for staff in areas of responsibility and promote quality of work related to security and customer service. Assign work for daily operations and coordinate with shift/team leaders on staffing and equipment needs. Direct follow-up on incident reports and related investigations as required.
- Organize the Security department's daily operations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate assignments and redirect resources as required. Work with various areas, including Corporate Director of Security Services, Parking Manager, Director of Safety and Emergency Management, etc., to manage security operations on campus. Hold and organize meetings, including agenda preparation and minutes.
- Plan and coordinate operations of the Security department in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Security Services. Plan day-to-day security operations, special events, and coordination with various departments. Review security applications such as access control and CCTV. Coordinate installation of security technologies with Facilities. Meet with department heads and outside stakeholders. Serve on committees.
- Plan and manage the operating budget each year, approve expenditures, review monthly budget reports, and reconcile. Perform regular inspections and evaluate personnel and programs. Manage and approve staff evaluations.
- Support training for the Security Department, develop curricula, promote standards through the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, and provide regular training at roll calls and team leader meetings to promote operational effectiveness.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in law enforcement/security supervisory roles; 5+ years preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- Current Healthcare Security Officer Certification.
- IAHSS Supervisor Certification required within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a special police officer commission through the State of Maryland within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to acquire Maryland State wear and carry permit within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to obtain Maryland security guard certification (guard card) within 30 days of hire.
