Position: Administrative Assistant (Child Health / Child Protection) AA

An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator within the Child Health and Child Protection Admin Team, supporting Children’s Services on a Fife‑wide basis.

The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Child Protection team, including supporting forensic and specialist medical examination reporting processes, alongside general administrative duties.

Responsibilities
  • Support Children’s Services across Fife, providing administrative and secretarial duties for the Child Protection team.
  • Assist with forensic and specialist medical examination reporting processes.
  • Maintain confidential records in line with data protection and NHS Fife policies.
  • Work effectively as part of multidisciplinary teams, managing competing priorities and exercising initiative within an agreed remit.
  • Handle work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office environment, ideally within a health or community setting.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, strong administrative ability, and a high level of accuracy when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience with NHS systems such as MORSE, Datix and other data or audit systems is advantageous.
