Join May Institute’s nationally recognized Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and school consultation team as a Clinical Consultant, where your expertise as a skilled consultant and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will drive large-scale impact across schools, districts, and agencies. You’ll provide high-level consultation, coaching, and capacity-building to shape inclusive, data-informed systems that support student success.
This is an ideal role for experienced clinicians seeking to expand their influence beyond direct service—offering a dynamic mix of school-based consultation, systems design, professional development, and leadership.
Your Role In Action- Lead School-Based Behavioral Consultation:
Deliver expert consultation to public and private schools implementing PBIS and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), with a focus on improving equity, access, and behavioral outcomes. - Guide Functional Behavior Assessment & Intervention:
Conduct advanced functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and design individualized behavior support plans that align with ethical standards and best practices in the field. - Coach Educators and Leadership Teams:
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and technical assistance to school staff and administrators, ensuring fidelity of implementation and staff capacity-building. - Drive Systems-Level Change:
Collaborate with district leaders to assess, develop, and refine school-wide systems, practices and data tools that support sustainable behavioral and academic success. - Lead Data-Driven Decision Making:
Support teams in collecting, analyzing, and using data to inform instruction, monitor interventions, and evaluate overall system performance.
- Certification:
Active BCBA certification (Preferred) - Education:
Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years post-certification, with demonstrated experience in school-based settings, systems-level consultation, and capacity-building. - Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of PBIS, MTSS, and function-based behavior support strategies in K‑12 environments. - Skills:
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and coaching skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex organizational dynamics. - Mindset:
