Special Education Paraprofessional; Program

Position: Special Education 1:1 Paraprofessional (Grow Program)
Special Education 1:1 paraprofessional to work with a n student with intensive needs in our GROW program - a substantially separate program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Must work well as a team and bring a positive energy to the job each day.
Must be comfortable with supporting daily life tasks including toileting and feeding.

Essential DUTIES:
" Actively participate in the educational program and help in classroom management, lesson planning, and recording of student data, as requested.
" Facilitate students' travel from classroom activities and appointments by giving specific directions and monitoring independent travel.
" Participate in staff and /or unit meetings as appropriate.
" This position will require supporting students 1:1
" Monitor all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students and inform the teacher of any problems, conflicts and/or issues.
" Work cooperatively with the team, including school administrators, teachers and related service providers to ensure that program activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
" Actively participate in program and professional development activities in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
" Work with students to implement program goals
