As an Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to:

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement engaging art curriculum for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Create individualized learning opportunities that encourage creativity and self-expression
  • Manage and oversee the school's ceramics program
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring art classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and contribute to IEP goals, progress reports, and educational planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student success
  • Coordinate student participation in community art activities and exhibitions
  • Participate in school events, activities, and the broader school community
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and accomplishments

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Art Education or a related field
  • Massachusetts Teaching License
Preferred
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Experience in Special Education settings
  • Ceramics experience
  • Familiarity with Daily Life Therapy® (training provided)
