Job DescriptionThe Young Elementary School is seeking an Inclusion Teacher who will work with two grade levels to provide academic support within the general education setting. Collaboration and communication are essential for success.
The Young School uses a "Push In" model where the special education teacher enters the general education classroom to provide instruction and support to children. The Inclusion teacher will bring appropriately adapted materials into the classroom and, through co-planning with the general education teacher, provide specifically designed differentiated instruction for students being served by an IEP.
Job Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and assess instruction for students receiving support through an IEP
- Collect data on goals
- Provide academic support
- Work with and plan with grade level teams
- Special education, Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 license required.
- Elementary Certification preferred.
- Track record of high expectations for all students.
- Co-planning and co-teaching experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Suite.
- Experience with IEP goals, objectives, progress monitoring and reporting.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
