** Join us as we grow! Our new Randolph, MN location is set to open its doors in early May 2026, and we are beginning the hiring process now. We will be reviewing applications and interviewing on a rolling basis, allowing us to adjust start dates to fit your schedule and business needs. To get you started on the right foot, this position may require in-person training at our Le Sueur, MN facility.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing our local operations, blending technical skill with a proactive mindset to ensure our new facility remains cutting-edge and efficient. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results while adhering to industry best practices and Cambria’s high standards of excellence.

This position is responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure quality control and process optimization within the raw material quartz processing facility. This role involves collecting samples, preparing specimens, conducting tests, and documenting results accurately.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Collect samples of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods according to established sampling procedures.
* Prepare samples for testing, including crushing, grinding, pulverizing, and sieving.
* Conduct laboratory tests and analyses, including but not limited to:  + Particle size analysis (e.g., sieve analysis, laser diffraction)  + Chemical composition analysis (e.g., X-ray fluorescence (XRF), ICP-MS)  + Moisture content determination  + Density and specific gravity measurements  + Turbidity and pH measurements
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including crushers, grinders, sieves, XRF spectrometers, ICP-MS, and other analytical instruments.
* Ensure that all laboratory equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
* Prepare and standardize chemical solutions and reagents.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of all test results, observations, and instrument readings.
* Document all laboratory procedures, methodologies, and quality control measures.
* Identify and troubleshoot problems with laboratory equipment or testing procedures.
* Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory testing methods and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
* Dispose of laboratory waste properly and in accordance with environmental regulations.
* Assist in the preparation of quality control reports and data summaries.

* Qualifications and Skills:

*** Associate's or Bachelor's degree in chemistry, geology, materials science, or a related field.
* 1+ years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a mining, mineral processing, or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and procedures.
* Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
* Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording data.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Basic computer skills, including data entry and analysis software.
* Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling protocols.
* Ability to acquire and retain all necessary safety certifications

** High school diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree in chemistry, geology, materials science, or related field preferred.
