STAFF NURSE - Full-Time, Day Shift
Location: Residential School Setting
Schedule: Days | Full-Time
We are a residential school serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and are seeking a compassionate and skilled Staff Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team.

Schedule:
This position is primarily scheduled for two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift per week, with a rotating every-fifth-weekend requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of student care.
- Manage communicable disease prevention, control, and outbreak response in accordance with current public health guidelines.
- Administer medications as prescribed and in compliance with DESE and EEC regulations.
- Provide health education to staff on topics including universal precautions, infection prevention, and seizure disorders.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive student health records in both electronic and paper formats.
- Apply current best practices in school nursing, community health, communicable disease control, health assessment, pediatric acute and chronic illness, injury prevention, and emergency care.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and regulatory agencies, including DESE and EEC.
- Ensure confidentiality of all student and staff health information.
- Serve as a communication link between the Residential and School programs to support student health and wellness.
- Attend and assist with school events as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required; LPN candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred; experience working with individuals with special needs and/or ASD strongly preferred.
- Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and sound judgment.
- Current CPR/AED certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb multiple flights of stairs.
