Job DescriptionJob Goal:
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides comprehensive health services in accordance with state law and regulations by minimizing each student's absence by creating a climate of health and well‑being in the schools. The LPN will work with students, the Randolph school community, and the Randolph Dept. of Public Health to provide and promote health and wellness services and initiatives.
- Provide temporary and emergency care to ill or injured students
- Evaluates the students' total health and development status through comprehensive health assessments
- Dispenses, monitors, and records all students' medications for acute and chronic health problems, consults with physician and parent regarding recommendation for medication adjustments or changes when needed
- Determines and maintains health clinic inventory of equipment and supplies per health services guidelines
- Promotes a positive image of school district and positive public relations at all times
- Conducts school programs in accordance with state requirements
- Maintains daily log of pertinent student health information
- Assists with health and safety in‑service and education programs
- Completes accident reports of injuries for Principal and Superintendent
- Works collaboratively and closely with all school nurses pertaining to school health
- May assist in the other school health activities including but not limited to registration, screening, field trips and athletic assessments as determined by school nurses and the Student Services Coordinator
Per Unit D Collective bargaining agreement. Paid for 6.5 hours per day, 192 days per year. $52.32 per hour. Position Type:

Job Requirements- Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and highly qualified
- Hold a current MA LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of three years’ experience in pediatrics, community health, or school nursing preferred
- Experience working with school aged students in a diverse, multicultural academic setting preferred
- Ability to manage the health services program based on requirements established by school district policies, procedures, and protocols, and by local, state, and national regulations and statutes.
- Proficient in SNAP, WORD, Powerpoint, Google Drive and its components, and Excel
- As a condition of employment, newly hired employees will be subject to CORI and FBI fingerprint background clearance
- At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred
- Undergraduate Certificate degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
