Maintenance

Maintenance Craftsman/Electrician.

• Perform the regular duties of a maintenance craftsman in schools, including manual labor requiring high skill in maintenance of school buildings.
• Assist the lead electrician in all phases of work, using appropriate methods, materials, equipment and safety precautions.
• Operate motor vehicles, tractors, and trucks under three‑ton capacity, and use small tools for painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical fixtures.
• Maintain and operate low‑pressure boilers, pumps, motors, oil burner fans, heating, ventilation, sound and lighting systems.
• Repair and adjust furniture and other building equipment.
• Install, repair or maintain fences, bleachers and playground equipment.
• Repair electrical fixtures, outlets, mixers, dishwashers and other equipment in school cafeterias.

• Journeyman or Master’s electrical license (Master preferred).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
