Substitute Summer Camp Counselor

REPORTS TO:

Summer Camp Director/Assistant/Camp Manager

SUMMER 2026 DATES and TIMES:

June 15 - August 7, 2026 (No Camp on July
3)

Exact times TBD; scheduled between 8:15am - 5:00pm

COMPENSATION: $22.50 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Prior experience as camp counselor or similar role

* Experience working with children

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Substitute staff will assist with the supervision of campers, ensuring safety, engagement, and support throughout the camp day. Responsibilities include helping run activities, maintaining a safe and positive environment, supporting daily schedules, and attending scheduled activities or trips assigned for that specific day.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Monitor the safety and security of assigned campers

* Assist with camp activities as directed

* Attend and supervise camp trips or assemblies, if applicable

* Complete any additional tasks as assigned by camp staff

* Attend the staff orientation meeting prior to the start of camp
