Youth Unlimited (YFC Toronto) is hiring a Youth Integration Specialist to support GTA churches as they intentionally integrate youth into the life of their faith community.

About Youth Unlimited’s Youth Integration Initiative

Youth Unlimited desires young people to be on a life-long faith journey with Jesus, so we have committed to be intentional about mobilizing neighbourhood churches to better integrate youth into the life of their faith community. Our Youth Integration Council is comprised of several of our staff from across the city, all committed to support our new ‘Youth Integration Specialist’ in the implementation of this initiative.

The Youth Integration Specialist will strategically connect with local churches, ministry leaders and YU staff to guide and support robust youth integration across the GTA.

This is a new opportunity, and the position is currently unfilled. We’re excited to find the right person to join our team!

Key Role Outcomes
  • Congregations across the GTA are actively mobilized to integrate youth into the full life of their church community
  • Youth are well supported as they integrate into the life of GTA churches
  • YU ministries are well supported in youth integration efforts
  • Connections between pastors, youth ministry leaders and faith-based community partners are facilitated with a goal towards youth integration
  • Compelling ministry stories and opportunities are clearly communicated to GTA churches, partners and youth
Responsibilities
  • Connect with local churches and community partners to affirm, guide and support intentional pathways towards youth integration
  • Coordinate and assist in providing YU training to churches in the areas of community assessment and youth integration
  • Support and resource YU ministry workers to prioritize effective youth integration
  • Promote and communicate youth integration/vision to GTA churches and networks
  • Attend and engage with YU’s Youth Integration Council
  • Mobilize GTA-wide prayer towards youth integration
  • Strategic oversight of logistics and resources for YU’s Youth Integration initiative
Requirements
  • Passion to see youth engaged and flourishing in local churches
  • Strong relational leader with 5+ years ministry experience in a local church setting
  • Appreciation for breadth and variety of local Christian Churches’ practices and theology
  • Adaptable with skills to navigate complexity and strategic implementation
  • Strong mobilizer and communicator
  • Ongoing learning around best practices for youth integration
  • Pursue a vital spiritual life and growing relationship with God as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ
  • Be a faithful and contributing member of a local church
Position Information

This is a full-time position (30-40 hours/week). The salary of this staff position is determined on a scale based on education and experience, ranging from $66,300 to $72,036 for a full-time salary (40 hours/week), and is 100% funded on a missionary basis – requiring the successful applicant to fundraise and gather a personal support team.
