Essential Function 1Conduct inventories as assigned of administrative supplies, janitorial supplies, linen and clothing to determine stock levels.
Assist unloading of supplies being received.
Validate receiving documents, tally and tag received merchandise, and rotate stock to assure proper FIFO procedures.
Essential Function 2Prepare clothing area(s) for initial, final and intermittent issues as determined by Logistics Supervisor to satisfy cadet needs.
Update and maintain cadet clothing records to track issues and clothing exchanges.
Retrieve all cadet clothing upon completion of class cycle and/or dismissals. Items are counted, inspected for serviceability, processed through laundry, sorted by item and size, and restocked.
Essential Function 3Ensure cadets are measured & fitted for graduation attire one month prior to graduation and requisition any shortfalls in a timely fashion to ensure receipt prior to graduation.
Minimum Qualifications 1Requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two years of college completion.
Preferred Qualifications 1- Two years of military supply experience is desired.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Access is desired.
- Requires the ability to pass a DoD background investigation.
- Requires a valid driver’s license in the appropriate classification as required by law.
- Requires a flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings when necessary to meet agency needs.
- This position is considered light work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(b)). Light work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 30 pounds. The job may require a good deal of walking or standing or involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.
