Rantoul City Schools is hiring a Assistant Principal for our Eastlawn Elementary School beginning with the 2026/27 school year.

District and Salary Information
Rantoul City Schools (RCS) is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, experienced school leader who loves working with a diverse student population to serve as the principal of Eastlawn Elementary School! Eastlawn's assistant principal, must be someone who is excited to take on the challenge of making a positive change in our wonderfully diverse school and who has high expectations for our staff and students.
Starting Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 based on years of experience.
Board paid TRS 210 day contract.
The Assistant Principal provides support for and assists the Principal in fulfilling the following responsibilities:

QualificationsIllinois Type 75 Certification

Essential Duties and Performance ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Uphold the established Board of Education policies, regulations and administrative procedures.
- Support, implement, promote and enhance the district’s educational program through effective management practices.

- Assist the building Principal in coordinating educational objectives and activities with the staff, district administrators and the Board of Education.
- Assist the Principal in interviewing and selecting staff, ultimately making hiring recommendations.
