Applicants must hold an active Illinois Paraprofessional License.
Position Type: Full‑Time – 180‑day position.
Salary: $16.55 to $27.67 per hour (based on experience and education).

Assist the teacher in achieving teaching objectives by working with individual students, small groups, or whole classrooms to help students meet the class skill levels, and maintain a well‑organized classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, score, and record achievement and diagnostic tests as recommended.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of newly introduced material or skills.
- Help devise special strategies for reinforcing material based on individual student needs.
- Assist students in mastering equipment or instructional materials; guide independent study and remedial work.
- Assist in supervising students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips.
- Assist with large group activities such as drill work, reading aloud, and storytelling.
- Read to students and support oral communication.
- Assist students in the library or media center; check notebooks, correct papers, supervise testing, and complete make‑up work.
- Assist with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines, wash‑up, and toilet routines, and help with students’ clothing.
- Alert the teacher to any student problems or information.
- Serve as primary source of information for substitute teachers.
- Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Participate in in‑service training programs as assigned.
- Complete additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
Job Skills
Strong communication skills (written and oral). Ability to maintain emotional control under stress, use email and office equipment, and work with students individually or in groups.

- 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
