Position: Coordinating Group Manager (Rantoul, IL, US, 61866)

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Coordinating Group Manager
to join our growing team.

Summary:

Purpose of The Role

While managing and motivating the management team, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of his/her team’s performance, including but not limited to: safety, quality, production, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assures all training is current for reports (i.e. safety, process, quality)
  • Assigns Group Managers and Leaders to meet production requirements.
  • Interprets process specifications for team.
  • Monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.
  • Shifts labor around for production needs.
  • Prioritizes production plan by utilizing current tools such as schedule aides, run lists etc...
  • Confers with Managers and Leaders to receive instructions and exchange production information.
  • Works on and assigns out projects to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory.
  • Audits and sustains processes.
  • Participates in GEMBA walks
  • Develops team members
  • Full-time position as defined by JELD-WEN’s Management Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

B.A. or equivalent from a four-year college; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing process principle in a manufacturing environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
