Position Summary:

At JELD-WEN, we craft doors and windows that bring beauty, security, and performance to homes and buildings worldwide. The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role plays a critical part by managing key quality processes such as document control, calibration, layered process audits (LPAs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Administer and maintain the QMS, including document control, calibration systems, non-conformance tracking, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate and monitor Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and ensure timely follow-up on findings.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with product and process standards.
  • Facilitate Gemba walks and promote a culture of quality on the production floor.
  • Track and report on key quality metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide training and support to team members on quality procedures and QMS tools.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with QMS systems, document control, and SOP development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software/tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
  • Experience with calibration systems, LPA programs, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Quality certifications (e.g., CQIA, CQPA, or similar) are a plus.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Lift and handle materials up to [insert weight] lbs.
  • Perform visual and hands-on inspections.
