Office Clerk

Coordinates activities of clerical and other administrative support personnel by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze and organize office operations and procedures such as typing, bookkeeping, time keeping, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
  • Evaluate office production, revise procedures, or devise new forms and procedures to improve efficiency of workflow.
  • Establish uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.
  • Formulate procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Plan office layouts and initiate cost reduction programs.
  • Review office workflows, documents, and processes to insure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Prepare activity reports for guidance of management.
  • Coordinate activities of various clerical workers within department.
  • Present professional image by wearing appropriate business attire and grooming.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new employees; complete, distribute, and file new hire paperwork.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
