Receptionist Position
We are looking for a dependable receptionist to support daily operations at a well-organized testing center in Rapid City, South Dakota. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping visitors, maintaining an organized front desk, and ensuring a smooth check-in experience for test takers. The role combines customer-facing support with light administrative tasks and routine monitoring of the testing environment.
Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with web-based systems, and the ability to stay active throughout the workday.
This site operates Monday–Saturday. Candidates must have schedule flexibility and be available to work any day within that timeframe, based on testing center needs.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome candidates upon arrival and guide them through the check-in process in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Verify identification and confirm that each visitor meets entry requirements before testing begins.
- Inspect personal items and enforce testing center rules to ensure prohibited materials are not brought into the exam area.
- Monitor the testing room at regular intervals by walking through the site and observing candidate activity.
- Support web-based exam operations by assisting with basic navigation and responding to routine candidate questions.
- Complete light administrative duties such as data entry, document handling, scanning, and maintaining organized records.
- Communicate clearly with staff and visitors regarding procedures, scheduling, and general testing center expectations.
- Help maintain a secure, orderly, and distraction-free environment for all individuals using the facility.
