The Traveling Site Superintendentisresponsibleforoverseeingallfieldoperationsandpersonnelassignedtocompanyprojects .Thispositionprovidesonsiteleadershiptoensureworkiscompletedsafely,efficiently,accurately,andaccordingtoprojectschedules,specifications,budgets,andcompanyexpectations.

The Superintendentdirectlymanagesprojectforemenandprovidesoverallsupervisionoffieldcrews.

Thisroleisresponsibleforholdingforemenaccountableforcrewproductivity,accuratetimereporting,jobsiteorganization,safety compliance,qualityofwork,andeffectivecommunication.

The Superintendentservesastheprimaryonsiterepresentativeofthecompanyandworkscloselywith Project Managers ,Safetypersonnel,foremen,subcontractors,customers,andotherprojectpersonnel.

Thisisatravelingpositionthatrequiresregularassignmenttojobsitesthroughoutthecompany’sareasofoperation.

• Provideoverallleadershipanddirectionfordailyfieldoperations.
• Directly supervise,support,andholdprojectforemenaccountable.
• Addressperformance,conduct,attendance,communication,andaccountabilityconcernsinvolvingforemen.
• Ensurecompanyleadershipisinformedofsignificantfieldissues.
• Plan,coordinate,andoverseedailyconstructionactivities.
• Monitortheprogressofeachcrewthroughouttheworkday.
• Ensureworkisproperlysequencedtopreventdelaysandunnecessarydowntime.
• Maintainanorganized,productive,andprofessionaljobsite.
• Reviewforemanperformance,creworganization,communication,and productivity.
• Confirmthatforemenproperlydocumentdailyactivities,manpower,delays,incidents,andcompletedwork.
• Ensureforemenareenforcingcompanypoliciesconsistently.
• Verifythatemployeetimesheetsreflecttheactualhoursworked.
• Comparereportedtimewithdailyreports,crewschedules,weather conditions,earlyreleases,travelactivity,andotherjobsiterecords.
• Managelaborcostsinaccordancewithprojectbudgetsandproductionexpectations.
• Reviewprojectschedulesandestablishdailyandweeklyproductiongoals.
• Trackactualprogressagainsttheprojectschedule.
• Coordinateupcomingwork,equipment needs,materialneeds,andstaffingrequirements.
• Promoteandenforcethecompany’ssafetypoliciesandexpectations.

• Confirmdailyreportsincludemanpower,hours worked,work performed,equipmentused,weather conditions,delays,deliveries,visitors,safetymatters,andsignificantevents.
• Maintainaccuraterecordsofprojectconversations,customerdirections,delays,disruptions,andchangedconditions.
• Ensurejobsiterecordssupportpayroll,billing,change orders,andprojectcloseout.

• Ensuretoolsandequipmentareavailablewhenneeded.

• Minimumoffiveyearsofconstructionfieldexperiencepreferred.
• Priorexperienceasa Superintendent,General Foreman,orsenior-level
  
  Foreman preferred.
• Extendedassignmentsawayfromtheemployee’shomelocationmayberequired.
• Mustbeavailabletoworkvaryingschedulesbasedonprojectneeds.
• Regularlystand,walk,climb,bend,reach,andmovethroughoutactiveconstructionsites.
• Workindoorsandoutdoorsinvaryingweatherandjobsiteconditions.
• Valid driver’slicenseandacceptabledrivingrecord.
• Abilitytoreadandinterpretdrawings,specifications,schedules,andprojectdocuments.
• Strong leadership,communication,organization,and problem-solving skills.
• Abilitytopassapplicablebackgroundchecks,drug testing,and customer-accessrequirements.
• Abilitytouseelectronictimesheets,daily-reportingsystems,email,mobile devices,and project-management software.
