Practice DetailsSanford Health – Spearfish Clinic is seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine trained physician to join our practice in Spearfish, SD.
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday - Practice includes specialty clinics:
Ophthalmology & Orthopedics - Provide comprehensive primary care, including examinations, diagnostics, DOT physicals, and treatment
- Analyze findings of tests and examinations and diagnose conditions of patients
- Determine and prescribe medication, dosage, and schedule given the patients' conditions and allergies
- Instruct patient and families regarding medications and treatments
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Educate patients about their health conditions, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
- Comply with all clinical policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- New resident/fellows are encouraged to apply

Job DescriptionFamily Medicine Core Privileges includes the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages with a wide variety of illness, diseases, injuries, mental health conditions and functional disorders of circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, integumentary, nervous, female reproductive, and genitourinary systems. This includes the pre‑operative care of surgical patients and post‑operative medical care of surgical patients and return to work issues.
QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree.
