Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer of Chemical and Biological Engineering
The Karen M. Swindler Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology invites applications for one or more part-time temporary Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturers to teach the Fall 2026 semester. Successful applicants will have a master's degree or an earned doctorate in Chemical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment.
Successful candidates will be required to teach core chemical engineering courses, laboratories or other courses as assigned. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. The position may continue semester-by-semester, dependent upon performance, department need, funding and student enrollment.
The Karen M. Swindler Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) offers curriculum toward B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Approximately 130 students are enrolled in the CBE undergraduate program and 30 students in the CBE graduate programs.
