• Perform time studies for the different processes.
• Troubleshoot products in Surface Mount Technology Assembly, Manual Assembly & Housing (MASH), Potting, Conformal Coating & Rework processes.
• Provide design for manufacturability feedback to product design engineers.
• Control the incoming & in-process quality of solder paste.
• Set up, program & maintain Solder Paste Printing Equipment, SMT automated pick‑and‑place assembly equipment, SMT reflow ovens and temperature profiling.
• Set up, program & maintain laser equipment and soldering robot.
• Implement and document new product SMT assembly procedures.
• Operate SMT area equipment in emergencies when the operator is not available.
• Design & improve manual solder assembly fixtures, robotic soldering fixtures, laser cutting / de‑paneling fixtures, robotic encapsulation / potting fixtures, automated bolting robot.
• Develop torque values used in manufacturing processes.
• Provide engineering support and solutions to day‑to‑day operation of SMT Assembly, MASH, Potting, Conformal Coating & Rework processes.

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• SMT electronic assembly manufacturing experience.
• Programming experience with SMT automated placement (pick‑and‑place) equipment.
• Front‑end & back‑end experience with SMT — design of stencils, fixtures, carriers, and tooling for electronic assemblies (PCAs).
• Experience with CAM 350, maintenance of SMT placement equipment, reflow ovens, and solder paste printers.
• Potting and conformal coating experience; facility / assembly floor layout experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO
  9001, inertial systems, IPC‑A‑610, J‑STD‑001, design standards.
• Strong Solid Works/CAD experience; proficiency with 3D printing (FDM preferred). Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings (Solid Works preferred).
• DFM experience for FDM 3D printing and CNC machining; understanding of GD&T.
• Experience using pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of materials and their properties (stainless steels, aluminum, titanium, engineering plastics, FDM printing filaments).
