JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for reviewing 3D CAD layouts, models and drawings through application of engineering principles and ensures that designs and engineering drawings are in line with company standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with design partners and onsite detailers to understand design scope and propose design improvements and/or highlight concern areas and recommended solutions.
  • Review engineering drawings for accuracy and conformance to current company engineering standards.
  • Create clear and concise drawing markups of any areas of non-conformance on engineering drawings.
  • Coach design partners and detailers on detailing best practices.
  • Work with a group of 2 to 3 other quality engineers to manage and complete manufacturing drawing review activities.
  • Coordinate with detailing team leaders on project priorities and due dates.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:
  • Associate’s degree in computer aided drafting program with mechanical or manufacturing emphasis, manufacturing, or engineering technology with 2+ years’ experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience mechanical drafting using 3D parametric CAD software (i.e. Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, Creo).
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and inspection of components and assemblies.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
DESIRED

  • Hands-on experience with various manufacturing disciplines.
  • Experience with operation and/or maintenance of heavy equipment.
