The Tolling Market Lead will partner with local teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies worldwide, championing the development of projects and programs across our 36 operating areas.
Tolling Market Lead OverviewThis role will expand HDR’s suite of toll industry services and lead the growth of tolling services and programs for toll road and toll facility clients. Responsibilities include researching market trends, supporting opportunity identification, and building relationships with toll authorities. You will also shape industry presence at organizations such as IBTTA.
Key Services Offered- AET conversions for existing facilities
- Planning and design services for systems including technology, payment methods, and advisory services
- Mobility and operational technology services (ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development and operations, managed lanes, ZEM, OT cybersecurity)
- Advisory services (asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding and finance)
- Partner with local area business development leaders and business group managers to research and share knowledge of tolling market trends and drivers.
- Support the identification, pursuit, and delivery of tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services.
- Develop client relationships with toll agencies and authorities, including major DOTs.
- Serve as HDR’s strategic leader in industry organizations to enhance market presence in tolling.
- Work across business group leaders to broaden the range of tolling services and provide professional development for staff serving toll clients.
- PE preferred.
- Recognized leader in the toll roads/toll facilities space.
- Proven ability to set and execute growth strategy for a practice, ideally in the tolling market.
- Established relationships with major toll clients and DOTs.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, and planning services.
- Experience managing a wide range of client relationships and pursuing specific programs and projects.
- Experience in staff development, including recruiting, career paths, and professional growth.
- Active involvement with industry associations and a visible market sector profile.
- Collaborative ability across various HDR leadership levels.
