Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Dinner Table Club is a social dining community that brings strangers together over curated meals, seat rotations, and memorable evenings. We host intimate dinner parties across New York City, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Miami, and San Francisco - designed to help people make genuine connections and discover great restaurants in their city.

We've served 2,400+ guests across 240+ events, and we're growing fast. Now we're looking for a part-time Event Host to join our LA team.

Role Description

This is a part-time,
event-based position - not a full-time role. Our Event Hosts typically work 1-2 events per month, shared with other hosts in their market. If you're looking for a flexible side role with a tight-knit, purpose-driven team, this is a great fit. If you're looking for a full-time position, this isn't the right role.

As an Event Host, you are the face of The Dinner Table on event nights. You'll arrive early, coordinate with our restaurant partners, welcome guests, facilitate the evening's programming (including our signature seat switches between courses), and close out the night - all while capturing content and making sure every guest leaves feeling like they made a real connection.

What You'll Do
  • Arrive 30-60 minutes before guests to coordinate with the restaurant's GM and set up the dining space
  • Check guests in at the door via our app and welcome them to the experience
  • Make event announcements, facilitate seat switches between courses, and keep the evening running on time
  • Capture photo and video content of the space, food, and guests throughout the night
  • Communicate any service timing expectations to restaurant staff
  • Confirm the final guest count with the restaurant at event close
  • Be a warm, present host - joining conversations, checking on guests, and making sure everyone feels comfortable
Who We're Looking For
  • Based in Los Angeles
  • Experience in hospitality, events, restaurant service, content creation, social media, or community-building - required or strongly preferred
  • Genuinely warm and socially confident; you naturally make people feel at ease in a room of strangers
  • Reliable, organized, and communicative - you follow through
  • Comfortable with light content capture on your phone (video preferred)
  • Excited to be part of a small, fast-growing team doing something different in the social and experiential space
Logistics
  • Commitment: ~1-2 events per month (evenings, typically weeknights)
  • Shift
    :
Events run approximately 3 hours; plan for 4 hours with arrival and close-out
  • Compensation
    :
Hourly, per event - details shared during the interview process
Why Join Us

We're a small team building something with real community impact. Our guests come to meet people, and our hosts make that possible. If you're passionate about hospitality, social connection, and being part of a brand on its way up - we'd love to meet you!
