RECEPTION/APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

Job Specifications:

• Answer telephone and schedule appointments using electronic medical software.
• Schedule return appointments.
• Use appropriate judgement in scheduling patient appointments.
• Collect account balances and co‑paids.
• Knowledge of insurance plans to determine eligibility through electronic medical software.
• Computer update of patient registrations and insurance information.
• Assist with patient check‑in as necessary.
• Assist with medical record scanning.
• Respect confidentiality and privacy of patients; adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Good verbal and behavioral skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude while communicating and interacting with patients and staff.
• Self‑management, accuracy, ability to multitask, and organizational skills are required to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
