Behavioral Health Consultant

We are seeking a Behavioral Clinician to serve as an internal consultant supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health needs. This is not a traditional direct care role — you will focus on coaching staff, strengthening behavioral supports, and building organizational capacity.

• Provide side-by-side coaching and training to staff teams
• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA)
• Develop and update positive behavior support plans
• Respond to behavioral incidents with recommendations and prevention strategies
• Support crisis intervention and post-incident debriefing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve participant outcomes
• Use data to guide decision-making and quality improvement

• Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology, Social Work, ABA, Special Education, Counseling, OT, or related field
• Active licensure or certification (BCBA, LCSW, OTR/L, BCaBA, or equivalent)
• 3–5+ years’ experience supporting individuals with IDD and/or mental health needs
• Experience developing behavior support plans and coaching staff
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based behavioral practices

• Regular travel to community and residential program sites
• Ability to support participants physically during crisis situations when necessary
