Safety and Health Manager

Horizon Health in Howard, SD is seeking a Full Time Safety and Health Manager. The Safety and Health Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s OSHA and Emergency Preparedness Programs. This position is available in any Horizon Location. Location is flexible within the State of South Dakota.

Prior experience with OSHA in a healthcare setting, required. Three (3) or more years experience, preferred

• Administer and oversee the organization’s OSHA Compliance Program to ensure alignment with federal, state and local guidelines. Responsible for planning, developing and coordinating the safety program for the organization.
• Conduct regular facility audits, inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with OSHA Standards and serve as the primary liaison during OSHA inspections and regulatory agency visits.
• Collaborate in the development and ongoing management of the organization’s Emergency Preparedness Program, ensuring emergency operations plans, systems and procedures remain current and effective.
• Coordinate and oversee the organization’s Incident Management program. Ensuring completion of proper follow up and trend identification.
