Job Description:

Working with psychiatric patients ranging from children and adolescents to adults, the Registered Nurse will provide care by assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients with various psychiatric diagnoses in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications (injectable and PO), evaluate care plans, and complete documentation.
Conduct admission screens, assessments, and minor wound care.
Perform patient safety rounds every 15 minutes and participate in patient discharge planning.
Engage in verbal de-escalation and participate in physical restraints if necessary.
Communicate effectively with both team members and patients, adhering to a team nursing approach.
Requirements:
Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing;
Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
BLS and CPI certifications (preferred to have prior to start but can obtain during the assignment).
At least one year of experience required; travelers must reside 100 miles away from any related healthcare facility.
