Position: CNA Certified Nursing Assistant Full Time Nights 5K

Overview

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills, located in Rapid City, South Dakota. The position is full time, night shift, with 12‑hour shifts.

Salary: $5,000 sign‑on bonus.

Hospital Details

36 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds and 18 long‑term acute care beds. The hospital uniquely combines two levels of care under one roof, providing comprehensive care solutions for patients who have suffered a range of debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and chronic medical conditions.

Responsibilities

Provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming, and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake skills. Recognizes emergency situations and responds.

Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Aide or other relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant as applicable in the state of employment.
  • BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor required within six months of date of hire.
Additional Qualifications / Skills
  • Acute care/LTAC experience preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
