IT QA Tester / Automation, Systems Analyst
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a QA Test Analyst 1. The work will be done onsite, full-time at an engineering design center in Rapid City, SD
. This is a long-term position (24 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $19/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Cullerton Group is seeking an entry-level QA Test Analyst to support software quality assurance efforts by executing test plans, identifying defects, and documenting results. This role focuses on validating system functionality across desktop, VR, and interactive applications while collaborating closely with development teams. The analyst will begin by running predefined test scripts and gradually progress into developing test cases and contributing to QA standards.
This position is ideal for early-career candidates looking to build hands‑on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Key Responsibilities
Execute software test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures - Test system changes and enhancements prior to implementation
- Document, track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools
- Analyze program functionality, output, and usability issues
- Monitor defect resolution and maintain databases of known issues
- Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships accepted)
- Familiarity with software testing concepts and QA methodologies
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Unity or Unreal engines, VR applications, or desktop software - Familiarity with software or game development life cycles
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
