Job Description:

Work as a Truss Builder in a modern, indoor truss plant located in Brandon, SD, assembling floor and wall trusses in a brand-new facility. This role involves standing and walking for extended periods, using basic hand and power tools, and performing repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Build floor and wall trusses according to specifications and production requirements.
• Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to ensure precise cuts and assembly.
• Use basic hand tools, including hammers, and power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
• Stand, walk, and work on your feet for up to 10 hours per day in an indoor plant environment

Essential

Skills:

• Previous carpentry or construction experience is required.
• Wall framing experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools such as hammers.
• Comfort and familiarity with power tools in a construction setting.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a truss plant or similar production environment is beneficial.
• general construction or building trades is an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn standardized processes.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a brand-new indoor truss plant facility in Brandon, SD. You will work in a construction production environment that involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, with significant standing and walking throughout the day. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on a mandatory basis, with additional hours available on Fridays and Saturdays on a voluntary basis.
