Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

- Hematology/Oncology Clinic attached to Rapid City Hospital
- Beds: 24 rooms in clinic
- Average patients/day: 250 patients through the clinic per day
- Minimum years of experience: 2+ years outpatient or ambulatory oncology experience (no acute-only oncology experience)
- Travel experience: at least 1 year (no first‑time travelers)
- Patient types: adults only – hematology and oncology patients; all types of cancers (solid tumor, hematology, GYN, brain, etc.)
- License, Certification: BLS required; ONS or OCN preferred
- EPIC: mandatory, at least 1 year recent EPIC experience (ambulatory EPIC highly preferred)
- 90% of the job will be phone triage and in‑basket management – prescription refills, patient questions, lab reviews, scheduling, insurance, physician and drug company communications
- Patient education for oral chemotherapy; knowledge of IV chemotherapy (meds not administered here)
- Work independently and provide education to 2‑3 patients per day
- Partner with 1–2 physicians; support 3 radiation oncologists, 1 GYN oncologist, 7 Med oncologists, 6 APPS, a pharmacist, CAs/MAs, and scheduling support
- 3 radiation oncologists
- 1 GYN oncologist
- 7 Med Oncologists
- 6 APPS
- Pharmacist in office for oral chemotherapy education
- Clinical Aides (CAs)/Medical Assistants (MAs)
- Scheduling support
- 1 other navigator available for support
- Management available as needed
- Total of 65 RNs/LPNs in clinic
- EMR: EPIC (required)

- First week: facility and unit orientation
- Weekend rotation:
None - On‑call:
No - Holiday expectations: closed on major holidays
- RTO approval: through manager

Monday – Friday, 0800‑1630 - Weekly pay
