Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience; 1.5 years of ICU experience may be considered with significant RN experience outside of ICU.

Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC (required)
Must-Have:
Epic experience
Comfortable working a 48 hour/week contract
Experience with complex ICU patients and critical care skills
Description:
This position requires working in a mixed unit with various specialties.
Patients will include surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases.
Diagnoses may include ARDS, myocardial infarction, stroke, COVID-19, post-cardiac catheterization, post-surgical, and trauma.
Cardiac experience is preferred, especially with post-operative cases.
Fresh open heart cases are not accepted unless the nurse is experienced and the facility is comfortable with it.
Patient ratios will vary based on acuity, typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3.
All travelers must have prior travel experience.
Travelers must live a minimum distance away from the facility.
Required skills include experience with IV medications, hemodynamic lines, ventilator management, and strong critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate within a team is essential.
Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred.
Travelers may be expected to describe previous experiences where they exceeded expectations.
Support on the unit includes nurse aides, charge nurses, resource nurses, and a respiratory therapy team available 24/7.
Charting is done through Epic.
Orientation will include learning about the facility and unit operations.
Weekend rotations are aimed for every other weekend, although this is not guaranteed.
There will be no requests for time off during holidays or specific local events.
Other responsibilities may include precepting students.
