Experience with cardiac procedural recovery and pharmacology

Description:

This is a mixed acuity unit providing Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and Med Surg services.
The unit handles direct admits, Emergency Department admits, and post-procedural care.
Patients include those with Myocardial Infarction, NSTEMI, STEMI, Congestive Heart Failure, and Dysrhythmias.
The nurse will manage patients post-cardiac procedures, including cath lab, open heart surgery, TAVR, and pacemaker insertion.
Patient ratios are typically 1:4, with the possibility of 1:3 based on acuity.
Strong skills in titratable cardiac and vasoactive drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and management of chest tubes are required.
Please ensure proficiency with Epic charting system; prior experience with Epic is preferred.
Nursing support includes CNAs on a 1:5-8 ratio and a charge nurse who is unassigned.
There are also phlebotomy services available on the unit.
Floating may occur to sister units and within scope of practice.
Weekend rotations are required every other weekend, with no on-call obligations.
Holiday expectations require working every other holiday, and time off is limited during specific peak periods.
Navy blue scrubs are required on the unit.
