Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides nursing care for patients with a mix of acuities, including intermediate care, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients. The role involves managing patients post-cardiac procedures and those with complex cardiac conditions, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting for acuity as needed.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Float to other units such as General PCU or MS/Tele as needed.
• Participate in a weekend and holiday rotation schedule.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1.5 years of general nursing experience and 1 year specific to PCU.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Proficiency with PCU level nursing skills and cardiac procedural recovery.
• Must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility if a traveler.
