Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Family First Homecare, formerly Universal Pediatrics, is hiring compassionate LPNs to provide 1:1 pediatric private duty care for teenagers in Rapid City, SD. This is a rewarding role for nurses who value connection, continuity of care, and making a real difference in a child's life—plus a few extra smiles and hugs along the way.
Location:
Rapid City, SD
Incentive Bonus – Earn Up to $300!
- $150 after your first 120 hours worked
- Additional $150 after the next 120 hours worked
- $2 shift differential for hours worked between 7pm and 7am
- Bonus applies to nurses who commit to 30 hours or more per week on this specific case
Shifts available:
- Full-time, Day shifts
- 4-5 days per week
- Up to 11 hour shifts
Start of Care: IMMEDIATE/URGENT
Compensation:
- Hourly wages
- Paid every Friday
- Benefits with full-time hours
- $2 shift differential for hours between 7pm - 7am
- Employee Referral Bonuses
Client cares may include, but not limited to:
- Pediatric (teenage) patient
- G-tube care
- Seizure precautions
- Medication administration
What We're Looking For:
- Experience with trach and ventilator care encouraged, but not required (case specific)
- Comfortable managing G-tube feedings (training may be available)
- Reliable, attentive, and committed to consistent scheduling

Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for providing care that is based on licensure/certification within the scope of practice
- Maintains an updated clinical record on each patient at all times, meeting required deadlines for documentation
- Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing service to the patient and family on an ongoing basis
- Consults with physicians concerning alterations of patient care plans, documentation of changes in patient care and reports all changes in care to the nurse supervisor
- Supports FFHC's mission by mentoring and/or coaching new employees during patient specific orientations
- Educates patients and their caregivers on topics related to patients' care needs
- Participates in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement program (QAPI) as requested
