Compensation: $93,000 - $117,000 annually + Full Benefits |
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our team in Rapid City, SD. This full-time, permanent position plays a vital role in optimizing patient outcomes through expert clinical care, staff education, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge in cardiovascular or acute care nursing and a passion for improving care delivery across the continuum.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as an expert clinician, consultant, and resource for nursing staff to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.
- Provide clinical consultation including differential diagnosis and recommendations for care management.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven methods to drive practice change.
- Collaborate with staff and leadership on resource allocation, workflow improvement, and patient safety strategies.
- Identify training needs and develop/lead educational programs or in-service sessions.
- Stay current with clinical advancements and contribute to professional development, research, and innovation in nursing.
- Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills across interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Master's degree in Nursing Clinical Nurse Specialist track
Licensure & Certification:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license South Dakota (or compact state)
- Additional certifications in specialty areas preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
- Prior experience in a clinical leadership or educator role preferred
